All documents / library webpart
Xoralia’s “All documents/library webpart” allows you to place on a SharePoint page all the document libraries you have associated with Xoralia and filter down the results based on library, matching term, tag or filter.
Once you’ve selected your Source library, you can continue to further personalise the webpart to suit your requirements making documents easier to find for users.
This article provides details on how to select the filters diplayed on your webpart and the order in which the filters are displayed, with or without spacers between them to provide visual groups for the audience.
Filters section
The Filter Settings section allows you to control how filters are displayed and organized within your interface. You can decide whether filters should appear by default or remain hidden until expanded by the user.
Display Options
You can configure how filters appear when the page loads:
→ Expanded: All filters are visible by default.
→ Collapsed: Filters remain hidden until the user clicks to expand them.
Choose the option that best suits your interface.
Selecting Filters
You have full control over which filters are displayed as well additional filters metadata. For example, you can choose to show or hide specific filters such as:
– Library Filter
– Tags
– Contact
To adjust which filters are visible, simply enable or disable them in the filter settings panel.
Reordering Filters
If you want to customize the order in which filters appear:
- Turn Set order for additional metadata to On.
- Use the Up and Down arrows next to each filter name to rearrange their position.
This feature helps you organize filters in a way that best fits your organisation.
Adding Spacers
You can also add extra space between filters for better visual separation:
– Click the plus (+) icon “Add Spacer”.
– This will insert a spacer element, allowing you to create clear groupings or improve the overall layout of your filter list.
Spacers are especially useful when you want to visually distinguish between different categories or groups of filters.
If needed, you can restore the filters to their original order. Simply click the Reset button to revert the filter layout to the default view. This action removes any custom ordering or spacing you’ve applied, allowing you to return to the system’s default filter arrangement.
